Who is responsible for your data
JobMoto is operated by NEXTPHASE INTERACTIVE PRIVATE LIMITED and/or members of the company. The JobMoto name and related marks are owned by NEXTPHASE INTERACTIVE PRIVATE LIMITED.
For privacy questions, consent withdrawal, access, correction, deletion, nomination, grievance, or other data-rights requests, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of JobMoto, and information received from service providers or other users where needed to operate and protect the service.
- Account and identity details such as name, phone number, email address, login provider, profile photo, company name, and account type.
- Authentication details such as phone OTP verification status, Google sign-in or other auth-provider identifiers, and the email address or phone number used to create or access your account.
- Candidate profile data such as Position, skills, work experience, salary expectations, availability, location, resume-like details, intro videos, video metadata, and contact preferences.
- Employer and recruiter data such as company details, representative details, hiring activity, business-card images, website address, Instagram or other social handles, typed GST or Udyam registration numbers and related registration details, live verification videos recorded in the app, verification status and outcomes, and job requirements.
- Review and AI-assisted processing data such as video transcripts, extracted feature labels, inferred business type and likely hiring positions, work-category classifications used for matching, quality ratings, moderation decisions, automated document-check outcomes, suspected synthetic-media signals, and reviewer notes.
- Application, relationship, messaging, invite, save, skip, share, unlock, profile visit, hiring claim, and support activity.
- Device, log, analytics, crash, notification token, IP address, app version, approximate location, storage, upload, playback, and security event data.
- Payment, invoice, tax, subscription, and transaction data when you use paid features.
Why we use personal data
We use personal data for lawful purposes connected with the JobMoto service, user requests, consent, contract performance, compliance, safety, and legitimate platform operations.
- Create and manage accounts, profiles, candidate videos, employer accounts, and company verification.
- Show candidates to employers, show relevant employer information to candidates, and support job discovery, interview, and hiring workflows.
- Review uploads, detect fake jobs and fraudulent profiles, prevent abuse, secure the service, and enforce our terms.
- Transcribe candidate videos, extract concise hiring-match features, classify candidates and hiring needs into work categories, rank and filter feeds so employers see relevant candidates, help reviewers moderate uploads, and identify potentially misleading synthetic or altered media.
- Use identity-linked hiring activity such as impressions, saves, skips, unlocks, messages, profile visits, playback, and contact actions to personalize feeds, improve matching, measure candidate intro performance, and reduce repeated low-fit recommendations.
- Verify businesses and their representatives using typed GST or Udyam numbers (validated and, where available, confirmed against official registration data) and short live verification videos recorded in the app, including automated AI-assisted checks followed by human review where results are not clearly approved.
- Send service messages, verification updates, support replies, safety alerts, hiring notifications, and preference-based communications.
- Improve ranking, matching, analytics, product quality, reliability, storage, media processing, and customer support.
- Comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, government requests, tax, accounting, audit, cybersecurity, and record-retention obligations.
How we share data
JobMoto is a hiring marketplace, so some profile, contact, video, company, verification, and hiring activity data must be shared with other users to provide the service.
- Candidate details and videos may be shared with employers, recruiters, company users, and JobMoto reviewers.
- Employer, recruiter, company, verification, and job information may be shared with candidates, JobMoto reviewers, and service providers involved in verification or support.
- Service providers may process data for hosting, storage, media processing, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, email, messaging, payments, fraud prevention, and support. This includes named third-party AI providers (currently Google Gemini) that may provide LLM, multimodal, or AI-agent services. Any provider that can receive user data is named in JobMoto's disclosure before data is sent. With explicit permission, candidate data is processed only for candidate profile analysis and matching; employer data is processed only for business analysis, verification assistance, hiring preferences, and matching. Message text is not included in that core permission and is sent only when the user separately allows a requested translation.
- Data may be shared with courts, regulators, law enforcement, cybersecurity agencies, or government authorities when required or permitted by law.
- Data may be shared during a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, financing, or transfer of all or part of the JobMoto business, subject to appropriate protections.
Your choices and rights
You can update many account and profile details inside JobMoto. You can permanently delete your account from Profile > Delete account, or contact support at support@jobmoto.app if you cannot access the app. You can allow or withdraw required matching/profile AI processing from Profile > AI matching, and separately manage private-message translation from Profile > Message translation AI. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, grievance handling, consent withdrawal, nomination, or other rights available under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing consent will be as easy as the manner in which it was given.
If you decline or withdraw matching/profile AI permission, JobMoto immediately stops new third-party AI processing for that scope. Discover, new matching, candidate intro upload or processing, and employer preference changes that depend on it are unavailable. Profile, messages, previously unlocked contacts, subscription management, support, and account deletion remain available. Declining message translation affects only translation; chat continues normally.
Account deletion
If you created a JobMoto account, you can start permanent deletion inside the signed-in app by opening Profile and choosing Delete account. The app removes account access and begins deletion without requiring a support email. If you cannot access the app, email support@jobmoto.app from the address connected to your account and include the account phone number so we can verify the request.
We delete or de-identify account data and associated personal data. Limited payment, fraud-prevention, security, accounting, dispute, tax, statutory, or compliance records may be retained only where required or permitted. Deleting a JobMoto account does not itself cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; subscriptions must be canceled through the applicable store account.
Business verification data (GST, Udyam, and live video)
Business verification data is collected only with your consent when you choose to verify an employer account. It consists of a typed GST or Udyam registration number (optional) and a short live video recorded in the app at your business premises, in which you say an on-screen phrase and show your workplace or signboard. This data is used solely for verifying the business and its representative, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations.
GST and Udyam numbers may be validated and confirmed against official registration data to retrieve the registered business name and status. JobMoto does not collect PAN or Aadhaar document images and does not perform Aadhaar authentication or e-KYC through UIDAI. If you submitted identity document images under an earlier version of our verification flow, they are retained only as long as legally required and you may request their deletion.
Verification videos are stored with access restricted to verification systems and authorised reviewers, and links used for review expire automatically. Automated checks (including AI review of the spoken phrase, liveness, and premises) are followed by human review for anything not clearly approved, and you can request a manual re-review of an automated outcome through the grievance contact below.
Verification data is retained while your account remains active and for any period required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance, after which it is deleted or de-identified. You may request earlier deletion, subject to those legal requirements.
Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide JobMoto, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce terms, prevent fraud, comply with law, and protect users. Retention periods vary by data type and context.
Where applicable, account registration information and removed content or associated records may be retained for legally required investigation, security, or compliance periods, including periods required for intermediaries under Indian information technology rules.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India in the manner and timelines required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
You should keep your login access secure and contact us promptly if you believe your account or data has been misused.
Children
JobMoto is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children (persons under 18 years of age, as defined in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children. If we learn that a child's personal data has been collected without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided personal data to JobMoto, contact us using the details below.
Third-party services
JobMoto may use third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, notifications, analytics, media processing, payments, communication, maps, or support. Their handling of data may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
International processing
Your data may be processed or stored in India or other countries where JobMoto or its service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate measures for such transfers under applicable law.
Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when this page was last changed. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, email, or other appropriate channels.
